Usually it's a curse word or a specific finger out the window at the driver who has made you angry.

But on June 28, 2017, a case of road rage has a murderous consequence.

On June 28th, a mother told her daughter, Bianca Robertson, to come straight home because

she had a surprise for her.

Bianca had spent the day shopping for her new dorm since she was a week away from starting

her freshman year in college.

The 18-year-old girl and 29-year-old David Desper jostled for the same lane as it went from

one lane to two. That's when David pulled out a gun and shot Bianca on the left side of her head,

causing her car to flip off the road as he sped away. The normally kind-hearted man, who had no prior criminal history, bided his time before turning

himself in.

He went to work the following day, took a trip to the beach, and did not tell his parents

what he did until three days later.

After turning himself in, he pleaded guilty, an act that spared Bianca's family and friends

from a very public trial. Despite his claims that he acted out of fear, the judge declared that she

believed David acted out of anger. She claimed that if he truly was afraid, he would have hit his

brakes and not grabbed a gun.
