She is an author and restaurateur.

She wrote Libation, A Bitter Alchemy,

and she also runs the Restaurant Panay islute in Woodstock Vermont with her husband.

Really interesting person that has championed Italian spirits and wine really ahead of the game.

Made some travels to Italy before other people were doing it.

Started to write things down often before other people got into it and has some really interesting things to say

doing ton of great work in an area that maybe doesn't get a ton of attention

as she is in rural Vermont.

So you are doing many things, have done many things, but maybe we could start it kind of

the beginning of how things started get going maybe 91 92 when you're in Italy

yes yeah that was right after my husband and I got married literally the day after we flew on one-way

tickets to Italy.

And we actually ended up going there not for food and wine-related reasons yet. We had been invited to start a dance company.

Oh, okay. Yeah, we were both dancers and choreographers and had gone over to do that and we did do that and we worked in a friend's piano

bar and we taught English and had an amazing experience eating and drinking very well.
