Summary

Jen Rubin discusses the upcoming debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. She predicts that Trump will come out aggressive and lie repeatedly, as he is immune to facts. She suggests that Biden should provoke Trump by bringing up his ridiculous stories and his history of losing in court. Jen also highlights the importance of Biden addressing issues such as abortion, the economy, Trump's foreign policy, and the potential dangers of a second Trump term. She emphasizes that Biden should showcase his wit and intelligence during the debate. Jen concludes by reminding listeners that the debate is just one event in a long election campaign, and that much can change in the coming months.

Hi, this is Jen Rubin, and this is Jen Rubin's Green Room. Today we have a special show. It is about the debate. It's all about the debate from beginning to end. So, first of all,

0:24.8

what is Donald Trump going to do? Well, I do suspect he's going to come out somewhat medicated.

0:32.3

If you remember all the sniffling and the snorting and the nose wiping. I do not think that that was simply a cold

0:40.7

that he had last time around. So I expect he will be somewhat juiced up. And of course,

0:46.2

by accusing the president of being juiced up, he is doing what he always does, which is

0:51.8

projecting. So he will come out. He will not have the ability to interrupt.

0:57.4

He won't have the ability to play to the crowd. But he's going to lie. He's going to lie over and

1:02.8

over and over again because his supporters simply don't care. And at this point, I'm not sure

1:09.4

Donald Trump can even tell the difference between a lie

1:12.5

and something, the truth. I think the truth is just a figment of the mainstream media's

1:18.6

imagination in his mind. So he's going to come out and lie. He's going to say he had the best

1:23.1

economy ever. He didn't. He's going to say that he was the best friend that Ukraine never had. He's

1:29.7

going to say that the country was great four years ago. He was going to say that he single-handedly

1:35.6

solved the COVID crisis on and on and on. He is immune to facts because reality doesn't matter to him.

1:44.4

He is going to be aggressive.

1:46.4

He's going to be obnoxious.

1:47.9

He won't be able to interrupt.

1:49.6

But I think he will be clownish, probably not completely over the top, unless, and this is my hope, the president bates him.

2:00.3

How could he bait him? Well, imagine the following.

2:04.0

He begins the debate by saying, hey Donald, why don't you tell us about that story about the shark

2:10.2

and the battery? In other words, invite him to repeat one of his ridiculous, rambling, incoherent blotherings, blotherings, blubberings,

2:22.8

because Donald Trump, of course, thinks he's genius.
