and we're doing Bible verses.

And one of the most foundational and powerful verses in the Bible in the New Testament as a whole

is, there's a variety of ways in which it is put, but for what is a man

profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange

for his soul.

From the 21st century King James Version, this is Matthew 16, 25 to 27, for whosoever

will save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find

it.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

Of what shall a man give in exchange for his soul, for the son of man shall come in the glory of his father with his angels,

and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

It's very powerful. Chapter 16 as a whole, the Pharisees also with the

sergitis come and testing desired him. Jesus, that he would show them a sign from heaven,

he answered and said unto them, when it is evening you say, it will be fair weather for the sky

is red, and in the morning it will will be fair weather for the sky is red,

and in the morning it will be foul weather today for the sky is red, and lowering.

Oh, ye hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky, but can you not discern the signs of the times?

A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign, and there should be no sign given

unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah, and he left them and departed.
