You know what I was just listening to was, have you ever seen the recording of

Restless Farewell that Dylan recorded in Toronto in 1964 where he's kind of on a TV set

and he's doing a strummed version of Restless Farewell. No, no, I haven't. Tell me about it.

I don't know. Because we watched Masted Anonymous. Spoiler, that's the movie we're talking about. Bob Dylan,

Maston Anonymous folks. Wait for it. I don't know. As well as waiting for you i was just like putting on some of my

favorite dylan tracks on youtube because i uh i don't use spotify listen to music on youtube like a sicko

and uh yeah one of my favorite dylan recordings is uh yeah restless farewell he played as the last

song in his set so as the you know the credits start to roll while he's playing it, I'm forgetting the

name of the program, but it was a 60s CBC program. I think it's about a half hour performance.

I think you can also see the rest of the performance on YouTube. I think it represents the best

of early 60s Dylan. And I actually like how he played it on the CBC better than the album version on Times Zero Changing,

because there he kind of, I don't know, picks it at a slower tempo, and it doesn't work as well for me.

But anyway, you don't even know the performance I'm talking about.

I will. It is something about Bob Dylan where every song has infinite multiverses. There are so many different

versions and the album version really just captures it at one moment in time. I mean, one famous

example is his version of Joker Man that's on Infidels. You know, it's all right. But when he

performed it on Late Night with David Letterman, he had this backing band of like two guys who he'd never

performed with before, never performed with after. And it's a famously great performance. It's famously so

much better than the version on the album. And in fact, not to get too far ahead of ourselves,

but there's a version in this movie, Masked and Anonymous, of Blowing in the Wind that plays in
