I just consider myself to be expressive, to have, you know, this ability to find words to describe my life experiences and then couple that with a bit of enthusiasm and optimism and voila you have what I have to offer which is perspective and there's a perspective I've learned in my life that's recently

become so obvious to me. I'm about to turn 36 and that's a great age frankly. I love

it. I feel secure. I feel confident. I don't I don't feel young or naive or lost and kind of wandering and I certainly don't feel old and

I'm washed up, you know, I'm right in the middle, right in the meat of the curve, right where I belong, but that being said, I've learned a thing or two over the past 36 years

and there's one thing in particular I want to share today that's on the top of my mind and that's

that you can have all the money in the world all the accolades the headlines the

headlines a ton of friends you could have wealth you could have luxury but it means nothing if you're not capable of slowness in your life.

Slowness being unrushed.

So I think true wealth in life is your ability to go slow. True wealth in life is your ability to go about your life in an unrushed manner, unrushed.

And I know that sounds like classic mindfulness, right?

Which it kind of is, because it's so wildly important,

but as I've learned, it's something you tend to not realize until later. Because the immediate and the here and now we're busy,

literally busy, we're rushing, we're going fast, we're being rushed, we're being pushed to go fast. And I've just realized that you can have, you know, the things that you're working so hard for. Let's call it money and let's call it success. You can have those things, but if you don't have the time to just be, to go slow, then what is the point?

Most of us don't make time to go slow, to have time, to possess it, literally, to be unrushed.

We're not experiencing time, most of us, most of us are rushing through it.
