And this, this man today has been on the list for many years. Even before I had the podcast, I was hoping to be able to talk to this man and just meet him one day.

I will tell you back in 1995, I went to the Fillmore solo and witnessed one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen. And you've got a taken mind that I've seen over a couple thousand shows. And that does include stuff like prints, AC DC on, you know, Powerage tour, van Halen,

Springsteen reunion tour, Wilco on the being there Nick Cave on the numerous tours with Nick Cave. You get my point. I've seen some fucking live shows. And then there's those shows that you were just like, was that even real.

My guest today is Sinanda Matreja, formerly known as Terence Trent Darby. Now, a lot of you, I understand our part time or just curious music lovers. You remember the hits. It's cool. I understand a lot of people are like that.

And you're probably going like, Oh, I remember him wishing well and sign your name, the debut record so much more to this man than that. I followed his career for a long time. And even I fell off wondering what happened to him. And I dug into it about eight years ago.

And I was like, Oh, wow, he's been making records the entire time. And imagine the joy I had of knowing that I had all these records I could catch up on, which was fantastic.

I'm telling you this guy is a freaking nature. He is on this planet to share the high watermark of songwriting and performing. That is what he is here for. And man, I am just so happy I got to see him not once, but two times. I did see him in 87 at the Warfield on the debut record.

And it's just it's just unreal how great this man is to sit down with him for a long form interview. Like I said, dream come true.

And he's got a brand new record out Pandora's Playhouse. It's a double album. It's out right now. It came out Friday.

I'm telling you man, this man is deep. This is one of those episodes where I was like, wow, it's on just a back and forth of some incredible, incredible deep inside look of spirituality, the music business.

You know, mushrooms weed. I mean, we go all over the place hip hop R&B, the 90s, the 80s. It was just a damn pleasure to have this man on. And I hope to get to see him live again and get to talk to him in person.
