what I mean help your people find a higher gear there should be a reality gap between what your team is currently able

to accomplish and what they're aspiring to accomplish. The reality gap says this, we're not good

enough to get there yet. So we've got to close the gap. Your job as a leader is to make sure that gap gets

closed by getting your people better and or getting better people. If your goals don't initially

exceed your team's competence, they're more likely to be able to just go through the motions

and plateau than they are to stretch and grow. Don't make them comfortable.

Help them get better.
