I'm John Batchel with my colleague, Professor Evan Ellis of the U.S. Army War College.

Looking at the good news from Argentina, we now look at the fog of war in Venezuela.

Professor, it is very clear right now that there's a sizable military force gathered off the shores of Venezuela.

At the same time, there have been repeated episodes of the U.S. using what I presume to be

drone power to eliminate what are said to be drug runners off the coast of Venezuela and off

the coast of Colombia.

All of this adds up to an intention,

or at least an intention to intend,

for the U.S. to intervene in the poorly managed

and brutalized country of Venezuela.

The U.S. fleet is so powerful that it's a puzzle.

I inquired about the capabilities of the U.S. to move into

Caracas and dominate the scene until Maduro is no longer in power. I was told there is

always a brigade ready to be picked up by air transport and taken to a destination that is

In other words, yes, they practice for this all the time.
