Hey everybody, a fun one today, you know, for a change.

Comedian Panne Oswald is my guest, and you're going to enjoy this just a lot, unlike so many

of my lackluster conversations with disappointing guests. Now, many of you know that I'm

touring on the only former U.S. Senator currently on tour tour. I got one coming up in Red Bank,

New Jersey at the Count Basie Theater on Friday, June 3rd at the Count Basie Theater. And the reason

I did the tour is that I love stand-up comedy.

There are a lot of great ones out there, and I've taken a lot of inspiration from them.

Patton Oswald is one of them.

Now, Patton and I recorded this a couple months ago when I was in LA, and as it so happens,

as I record this introduction, I'm in Los Angeles again for my grandson's ninth birthday.

And my plan has been to run this while I took kind of the week off and enjoyed my daughter

and her family and celebrate my grandson's ninth and i'm

sticking with that plan you will love this conversation with patten we talk comedy we talk about

political comedy and i want to give you a little taste of that here's as good an explanation as i've

heard about why comedians hate doing comedy about Donald Trump.
