One night in 2003, a sex worker went back to a client's hotel room.

The whole time she had no idea there was a dead body hidden in one of the wardrobes.

He'd just killed another sex worker before meeting her, and her body would end up abandoned in a shopping cart on the other side of town four days later. Today we're talking about the tragic murder of Shelby Tracy Tom.

the perpetrator of this crime has since changed their gender identity in recent years,

or we believe that they have. At the time of the case, they identified as a man and used he-him

pronouns, but recent court documents refer to the killer using she-her.

So for this video, while I'm describing the perpetrator and the murder, them at the time of the murder,

I will be using he-him pronouns, especially because I think in this case, in particular, gender identity and gender dysphoria really plays into it and maybe plays into the motive.
