I'm trying to tune out American politics a little bit because it's not my country, but it's hard to tune out American politics, isn't it?

It's on every surface right now. It's everywhere. There's no

avoiding it. Anywhere I look, I have to hear about various Trump appointments. I have to hear about who

is ambassador to Israel is. I have to hear about what Vivek is doing. The whole clown car full of people

I have to hear about. We got the Department of Doge or whatever that they're setting up for Elon Musk and Vivek to run.

You know, I'm reading about he's going to dismantle the Department of Education.

And I think it's not even my country.

Is there some way I can opt out of hearing about things like this?

Yeah. Well, it's very funny that you're beginning this episode by expressing this sentiment,

given what we just watched and what we're going to be talking about. Yeah, well, it's not a bad way

to make a living, actually. It's pretty good. Surely there are other politics in the world, though, other than this.

Like, you know, close to home, we could talk about bike lanes in the city of Toronto. I'm sure our international listenership would love hearing about the bike lanes controversy.

Oh, yeah, and how we're going to have fewer of them soon. Actually, you know what? Let's actually Kvetch about this for a second. So I live on a major street in Toronto that runs east to west.

There was construction for years throughout the pandemic and I think before it as well.
