In this episode, I explore personal responsibility and societal expectations, sharing anecdotes from my restaurant work that highlight the challenges of leadership. We examine behaviorism and question how genetics shape our behavior. I discuss the tendency to externalize blame, emphasizing the importance of accountability for personal growth. The conversation also touches on capitalism, relationships, and technology's impact on our lives, culminating in a focus on self-awareness and the search for meaningful connections.

0:34.8

Like he would throw up after lunches. Because there was this deal back of the day, I'm sure that they

0:39.6

resurrected from time to time. There was a steel back in the day that you have to, by the time you

0:47.1

order your food, you have to get your drink and your lunch within 10 minutes and they

0:50.9

1:46.4

And I just remember looking and saying, oh man, that really doesn't look like much fun at all.

1:51.5

And it's funny because there was no union when I was at the

1:54.7

Pizza Hut and I got all the free meals I wanted. I didn't have to pay for my own

1:59.0

uniforms and then when I moved to Swiss Chalet where I worked for a couple of

2:01.4

years. I had to pay a reduced price for every meal and I had to buy my own uniform and I remember the union took what, six, seven percent of my pay.
