And today we're exploring the eerie and unsettling case of The Watcher.

This episode, though a bit belated, serves as our Halloween feature, one that veers slightly into the realm of ghost stories.

While we aim to analyze the case as always, this story's

haunting, almost supernatural atmosphere lends itself to a more chilling narrative as we delve

into the strange events that seem to lurk behind, or perhaps even within, its walls.

This is a story of the broadatiss family, who found themselves

terrorized by an anonymous figure known only as the Watcher. This individual seemed disturbingly

fixated on both the Bratiss's and their new home, referencing their children in a way that

would send a chill down any parents' spine.

In 2014, Derek and Maria Broadus purchased what they thought would be their dream home,

a stately six-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom residence at 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey.

But soon after signing the papers, their excitement turned to dread as they

began receiving ominous letters signed by the Watcher, who claimed to be the home's self-appointed guardian.

The letters revealed intimate, unsettling details about the family, referencing their children as young blood.

After receiving these letters,

the broadices became so fearful that they ultimately decided not to move in, and years later sold the home at a significant loss. That loss was about $400,000, and even more if you factor in

the rising cost of living. Even now, the true

identity of the watcher remains unknown, and this unsolved case has left a haunting mystery in its wake,
