This might be the worst

This might be the worst start to the podcast in history

And we've had some bad ones

Just, yeah, I don't know. The boys are

fighting. I just want all the listeners to know. The boys have been arguing. There has been much

name calling, much finger pointing at the bad audio setup. And me, I'm the one who's sick.

Does my co-host give me any grace? No, no, he doesn't. I mean, you've,

you've played that card like three times already in the last 15 minutes as we've been trying

to get this going. And I think you're out of lives on that one, Will. Get your shit together.

Well, welcome to Michael and us. I am Will Sloan, I think, with me as per usual is. Ah, it's Luke Savage. Welcome back, everyone.

Uh, yeah, no, Will is feeling a little bit under the weather, um, which it's impressive that he

agreed to take on a big movie this week. I thought that it would be kind of nice to just have an

afternoon of watching a long, slow, boring art house movie, just feeling the rhythm.

As the cough syrup and the cold medication and the NyQuil and all that works its way through

my system to just be swept along in Tarkovsky's Jeune Secois. And I was right. I had a great

time with this week's movie. You could probably

narrow it down the movie we're doing. But I guess we have some other stuff to talk about before we get

into Andrei Tarkovsky's 1979 film Stalker, a film that's been a long time coming on this

podcast. And, you know, one of those films that Will and I both love it.

In fact, we saw it together for the first time back in 2016. I remember that night very well.

I don't think either of us had seen any Tarkovsky films before. And I remember coming out of

that film and just kind of walking around bleary-eyed in downtown Toronto, just completely mesmerized by what we just seen.
