I try to tell people I said listen no doubt my mind many people behave

narcissistically because they had terrible backstories might they might even

have terrible present stories and I get that and I feel for them and I have empathy for that and their

behavior is still not okay.

Those two things can be true at the same time and people struggle with that they're like but no no no what how could

how could I see the behaviors not play if they had a bad backstory because I said

the behavior's not okay yeah yelling at someone's not okay

manipulating someone's not okay well but that's what they learn from their parents. Okay but

they're getting up, they're going to a job, they're living a life, sometimes they're

really successful, so they can do all that, they can figure this out.

And that's the problem is we let them get away with it.

And a lot of us who've been through these relationships,

we've had tough backstories too.
