0:40.7	abduction. And this is a case that, unfortunately, to this day, since 2007, has been unsolved. Not that they
0:51.4	don't have a good suspect, not that they didn't have enough at the time
0:56.6	to actually do a proper investigation,
0:59.5	but that the investigators unfortunately focused erroneously
1:04.3	on the parents as the killers of McCann,
1:09.2	of Madeline McCann, and therefore allowed the guy who is most likely the abductor of Madeline McCann to get away.
1:24.1	Yep. So it was 2020 that the German police, so remember, Madeline McCann was abducted from a resort in Portugal in the Algarve area of Portugal.
1:35.5	In 2020, the German police came out and identified a German national by the name of Christian Bruckner as the individual they suspected was involved
1:47.7	in Madeline McCann's disappearance and probable homicide. So I started back in 2020, I started doing
1:55.0	some digging because I obviously am interested in this case. And once they started giving background
2:00.0	about this guy and where he was
2:01.9	living and what he was doing and his criminal history, I'm like, oh my God, you know, this would have
2:07.0	been suspect number one had we known about him back in 2007. So before we get into that, let's talk
2:13.1	about you were involved in this investigation, Madeline McCann in 2007, her parents and her twin brothers were on vacation at this ocean-side resort in Portugal.
2:30.5	And they were there with a couple of few other couples who also had kids and they had this practice every night of going to dinner at 8.30 at this topest restaurant, 100 yards from where the apartment was.
2:43.9	And every hour or so, somebody would go and check on the kids. On this night, Jerry, the father of Madeline, went to check at nine o'clock.
