0:20.2	All right, welcome back to Day 3 of John chapter 10. We're going to read
0:22.7	the same verses, but we're going to look at the other side of it. John 1010, the thief comes only to
0:27.7	steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd.
0:33.9	The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a
0:39.0	shepherd who does not own the sheep sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees and the wolf
0:45.1	snatches them and scatters him. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
0:51.3	I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the father
0:56.8	knows me and I know the father and I lay down my life for the sheep. Let me ask you a question.
1:02.3	Jesus says that he came that you may have life and have it abundantly. Are you living the abundant
1:08.0	life that Christ has for you? Or is your life defined by a relentless
1:13.6	pursuit of the accumulation of an abundance of stuff? I mean, I hope you've realized at this point.
1:21.5	I hope you're old enough. I hope you're mature enough that the stuff of this world is just
1:25.3	never going to satisfy you. And that it's a trick that he says that the stuff of this world is just never going to satisfy you.
1:34.5	And that it's a trick that he says that the hireling, when danger comes, is going to leave you high and dry.
1:36.9	You see, I don't know if you realize this, but your money lies to you.
1:39.7	And the lie that your money tells you is this, if you love me, I'll love you back.
1:44.1	If you love me, that I will bring you satisfaction and security.
1:48.3	And the reality is that your money can neither satisfy you nor bring you security.
1:53.3	I mean, how many VH1 behind the music do you have to watch before you realize that the stuff of this earth is not what we were made for?
