I have to ask a favor you aren't allowed to make me laugh tonight because this is one of those days where like it was ab day for the workout.

You know little while ago man what did I eat my stomach hurts like oh that's right.

So this is one of those days so we have to okay so.

Casey you aren't allowed to talk about food john you aren't allowed to talk about anything.

I can't I'm not supposed to laugh is there anything depressing that we could talk about to keep you from being happy and laughing.

Let's talk about Middle Eastern politics that'll do it.

I don't know how to handle this right because I don't think that any of the three of us want to ignore it because that's not really right.

And I'm kind of proud of how the three of us treat these sorts of really terrible things and I'm proud that we stand up for what we believe is right.

But I don't know what the right answer is and what to say that's not going to upset somebody not saying things is upsetting people and I can understand that.

Same things is probably going to upset potentially even more people and I don't want to upset people it's really complicated for me because of my heritage and background.

So my dad grew up Jewish full stop he his his grandfather was a rabbi his brother their whole family is Jewish.

My mom is Catholic and because of that I was raised feeling guilty about everything but otherwise not much of anything.

But that being said it's an odd thing for me because even though I don't feel terribly religiously Jewish and we recognize some holidays and we're probably terrible Jews.

My immediate family is in well both my parents and my brothers and myself would also go Aaron and me and the kids.

We recognize some of the bigger holidays but I don't feel terribly religiously Jewish and I and I one could make an argument I'm an imposter.

But I do feel to some degree ethnically Jewish and I hope that's not offensive because I don't mean it that way at all but I feel like that's a part of my heritage whether or not I embrace the religious side of things and to see what happened in the Middle East.

It it hurts like even as someone who is pretty well removed from it by any definition it hurts it doesn't feel good.

And to know that more Jews were killed in on a single day than any day since the Holocaust like that's that's not cool.

I don't care what your particular opinions are about Israel about Palestine about Palestinians about Israelis murdering innocent civilians particularly children.

That ain't okay it's just not okay we can have well I don't know if I'm capable of it but one could have a nuanced conversation about the politics in the Middle East about how we got to where we are today.

But I think it's important to note that anti-Semitism from everything I've seen not personally thankfully but everything I've seen is that it seems to be on the rise and that's not good.

And I don't care who it is murdering and kidnapping and doing terrible things to civilians particularly children is unequivocally not okay.
