Pretty birds. A lot of fun. Guys did a good job. I mean when you kill a turkey

somebody's got to be doing something good.

Welcome to the J Scott Outdoors podcast. Today we are going to be talking with Chris Rowe of Row hunting resources and we're going to be covering mid-morning and midday setups and we've already covered in this episode or in this series I should say.

We've covered scouting for turkeys. We've covered roosting turkeys in a two-part series and we covered

early morning roost setups and we're talking kind of specifically about Western US

and we're talking about Mariams. We're talking about Rios. Of course you could take a little bit of this into Goulds and I guess

there's a few easterns around. I know Washington's got a few eastern's around I think but yeah I think Chris don't

you agree you could use these tactics pretty much anywhere you use them in

New York probably for that matter absolutely hey by the way

good to be back thank you sir yes sir I'm glad to have yeah no absolutely a lot of

what we're talking about you know some people are gonna say well there's a lot of what we're talking about, you know, some people are going to say, well, yeah, a turkey, and I think we touched on it in one of the first couple episodes on, you know, a turkey is a turkey is a turkey. I mean, a lot of times the differences that we have to deal with with birds is the fact that

they're just interacting with their habitat differently, you know, and terrain.

So a lot of these tactics are going to kind of cross-pollinate, if you will, on eastern wild turkeys. I mean there's some places in West Virginia, Virginia, even in Pennsylvania and some other areas where I mean you've got some serious, serious mountains and hills and the Appalachians,

and so some of this terrain stuff might ring true

for those guys that are hunting easterns there.

And like you said,

yeah, Washington State has easterns now. I know most of the places where I hunted Easterns in Washington State was over on the far, far west coast, basically in that kind of temperate rainforest area so yeah

there's serious mountains there too but it's a little bit different but

seriously all of the tactics that dealing with birds whether we're talking

calling and decoys I think there's a lot of overlap.
