| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the happiness podcast. I'm Dr. Robert Puff. Success. It can seem like such a |
| 0:20.1 | wonderful thing that when we get it everything should be great because we finally |
| 0:25.0 | succeeded at something and now we get a revel in that success in our achievements. |
| 0:31.8 | But unfortunately the truth of the matter is when we succeed, when we get our goals, when we possess things, they can in many ways possess us so that we stop and join them and we expect or need them just to feel a sense of contentment. |
| 0:50.0 | Let me use food to illustrate this. I've gone through periods of my life where I did not have very much money. |
| 0:58.0 | As a matter of fact, I had so little money, and some of you may relate to this this that I had to live on the top |

| 2:10.9 | hut had moved in and everyone was very excited to be able to now eat pizza on the weekends. |
| 2:16.0 | And it was great, it was wonderful. |
| 2:18.0 | But as I've moved to California, now there's a lot more variety of pizza places and the pizza is pretty good here. |
| 2:26.2 | So there can be a tendency to forget how good other pieces taste and only go for gourmetes. And it's more so than just going for them. It's |
