the world of journalism and photojournalism in particular,

and even more particular, not just photojournalism, but portrait journalism,

has lost a very special man called Terry O'Neill.

Tell me a little bit about Terry O'Neill, please.

God rest of his soul. He was photographic royalty, wasn't he really?

I mean, you'd have to say he sort of rose through the ranks.

Wasn't he the first portrait photographer of the Beatles, for example?

I think he took the very earliest sort of group shots.

He certainly did stuff with the Beatles.
