Today I want to talk about the New Mexico Big Game Regulations and the Hunts, the

draw, the deadline's coming up here on March 20th at 5 p.m. and I know you do a lot of

guiding in New Mexico so I wanted to get you on the podcast to talk about all of the ins and outs of New Mexico hunting.

But before we do that, Chris, I would like to kind of get a brief history on where you grew up your background kind of where you started guiding and so forth and then we'll kind of dive into New Mexico.

Yeah, I mean, I've been, I've been down here since 97 in New Mexico,

but I grew up in Michigan, kind of cut my teeth on the Great Lakes Steelhead and

salmon industry and I moved out to Montana in 1990 I believe and kind of got into the guiding game up there.

I was working as a chef.

That's my background in college training is culinary arts and I was working as a chef and a

guide in Montana until I moved to New Mexico in 1997.

So Chris, when I first remembered you, quote unquote, on the scene was,

I haven't been in years, but I used to fish at the San Juan River in New Mexico below Navajo Lake there, the quality waters of the San Juan River.
