My wife and I recently went out to a fairly fancy restaurant and noticed several men wearing their caps inside. They all seem to have full healthy heads of hair. Later, I realized more and more men prefer to wear hats, especially inside.

I always understood this as improper.

Why prefer a hat over displaying a hairdo?
