Welcome to the Happiness podcast. I'm Dr. Robert Puff. If you don't mind, take a second and just think about

0:14.4

your favorite piece of music. I know it probably changes over our lifetime, but think about a

0:20.1

piece of music that you really enjoy.

0:23.2

I don't know about you, but sometimes when I discover a new piece of music that I really enjoy,

0:29.0

I'll listen to it over and over again. With time, I do get used to it, and it's not quite as

0:34.8

thrilling, but those first few times are like, oh my goodness, I feel like I'm in heaven.

1:15.8

And there was this one song that just moved my heart.

1:20.7

It made me think of her, who I barely knew.

1:23.4

And at the same time, it just made my drive home magical because it was such a beautiful moving song

1:31.4

and I listened to it over and over and over again. There's a dear friend of mine who grew up in a

1:39.2

musical family where her parents were on the road singing music as she was growing up. Her husband, who she dearly

1:47.0

loved, was also into music, so the two of them got to meet so many different musicians over the years.

1:53.8

And now that her husband has passed, she goes on these beautiful, musical cruises where bands show up and play all day long.

2:04.2

And in many ways, it's her musical heaven.

2:07.8

So if you've had experiences like myself or my friend where music moves you, I want to ask you a very important question.

2:17.4

When you really like a song and you just

2:20.7

love it, are you waiting and perhaps even anxious for the song to end so it will be over? Or do you
