Summary

The Holy Spirit reminded me to not worry about tomorrow’s problems. You can't solve them today. Every time I think about something that worries me, it’s usually about things that are happening tomorrow. They’re happening in the future. Matthew 6:34 says “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. In this episode I share my three best techniques for worry: 1. Turn your thoughts into prayers. Thank Him, that He is already working on your tomorrow. "Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns." Philippians 4:6 2. Ask yourself what the worst thing is that could happen. Think about what the enemy has been holding over your head. And then define what success means to you. Perfection is not success. Success is being obedient to Christ. 3. Use the word “I don’t” instead of “I can’t”. This combination of words is way more powerful. What we say with our mouth our mind takes as fact, whether we believe it or not. So, what are the “I don’ts in your life? more children, I have more bills, my body is getting older. Can I get a name then?

0:39.9

Well, seems like worry has also accompanied some of my aging. I'm not a natural warrior.

0:47.2

I'm kind of an optimist. I am a can-do person. I'm definitely not a type A, but I like to get things done

0:56.8

and I like to kind of work hard play hard. That's kind of more my style of life.

1:03.4

And so worry hasn't been a major factor for me because, well, when I play hard, I don't think

1:10.7

about work. And when I work hard, I give it my all and then I'm able to kind of shake it off

1:15.6

of the day. So worry has been something that has is kind of a habit that I've learned to have to

1:23.5

combat more and more in my life, probably because I'm more tired, right? And because life is more

1:30.0

intense. And I don't know anybody whose life isn't intense right now. It just seems to be

1:35.6

how the world is. So I want to share with you my three best techniques for worry and my life

in a practice a lot, like on a daily basis. And I think it will help you as well. So one thing

1:55.4

the Holy Spirit has been really speaking to me about worry is he's been saying this to me,

2:04.2

have a let do not worry about tomorrow's problems. Don't worry about tomorrow's problems. You cannot

2:12.5

solve them today. Now I know that's not a new thought. But every time I begin to think about what I

2:18.2

most worried about or most concerned about, they often are things that are happening tomorrow.

2:24.9

They're not happening that day. They're not happening at that moment. They're happening in the

2:29.9

future. And so the Holy Spirit has been reminding me, have a let you only have today. And I was
