Today on the Strong Women Podcast, Aaron and I went back through some of our older episodes and pulled out times when our guests have talked about their dads.

Us girls are influenced by our dads.

And so we wanted to take a moment just to talk about dads and celebrate Father's Day with you all, our listeners.

But one thing that we talk a lot about on the podcast is that we are pro men.

And I say that, and I have to say that, because in our cultural moment, to be a strong woman normally means that you're

pushing down the men around you, that it's a zero-sum game. And if you're going to rise, you have to

step over and step on these men that are keeping you down. And we just do not believe that on this podcast.

We think and really strongly believe that scripture tells us that we were designed

to work in friendship together for the kingdom of God.

And that when men are living out their design as God intended it in a healthy way, and they're finding

their identity in Christ, they're not threatened by the women around them, and they're able to

see giftings in the women around them and encourage them in it. And the same is true for women,

when we are living out our design in a healthy way and we are seeking to find our

identity in Christ, then we also are able to see the giftings and the strength as a good thing

in the men around us, and we can work in friendship.

I'm so appreciative of the men in our lives that have called us out and have

recognized the giftings that God has placed on our lives. And my dad is definitely one of those

men in my life. And John, who is the dad to my babies, he is also one of those men in my life.
