| 0:42.4 | nice and chill. So enjoy this time. Sit that coffee. Take a nice big breath of fresh air. And let's |
| 0:48.1 | jump into it with my quote for this week. Fitness is a destiny is not a destination. It's a way of life. And too often, I think it's so easy to think of when I hit my goal, I'll be happy. Once I look this way, I'll be happy. And there's just that idea that when you get super jacked, you achieve your goal, you lose fat, everything's going to be easy there. You can eat whatever you want. You can not go to the gym. You can keep that physique and that's going to be you for the rest of the life. |
| 1:12.0 | And I think that attitude already is what sets a lot of people up to failure because you really just have this intensity destination mindset where you just say, I just need to get there and everything will be okay. And I think what's tough is a lot of people even struggle to get to that destination. but the people who do, they see change, they improve, they grow, they get there, and then they just expect everything to be sunshine and rainbows, like I said. They don't have keep it. And then they end up feeling miserable again. And they backslide so, so much worse because they're not prepared for what success looks like. And even within our coaching, that's why we really coach people past our initial |
| 1:45.1 | goal because A, we know we can get them way past our initial goal. We always can achieve so much more. And B, because you have to have a viewpoint past that destination. You got to keep going. It's like, if you're like, I want to get to a random state and you get there, you're like, I don't know where to go in the state. You always got to be thinking ahead on your journey. And I think to fitness especially, |
| 2:03.8 | it really is a way of life because how you train at 20 it's going to be entirely different than how you train at 70 and you go through different phases maybe it would be a sport you love i know we have a lot of ex-athletes on here a lot of d1 athletes where your world is your sport you You have a coach. They're telling you what to eat, what to do. |
| 2:19.2 | And you come out of that and you're like, what the heck, what now? |
| 2:21.9 | And that's where the more you can really work to have nutrition, training, mental health, self-health as just something you enjoy. |
| 2:30.0 | Not something like you have to do, but the more you can make it a habit and part of your life |
| 2:34.6 | and actually make it something you enjoy because fitness needs to be forever. Like unfortunately, if you just let everything go, it's going to slip. That's the way it works. And I think looking at this way, and for a lot of people, if they can have this paradigm shift, it's amazing. And it's not to say, like, fitness is more like seasons. there will be a winter where maybe you really bulk up and you're really focused on that and you're training really hard. And then maybe there's a summer and you ease up on things and you try to maintain progress and you do what you can. There'll be just times and seasons of your life. But as long as you're always doing what you can and you're having habits, they're going to help you through that. Like even for me, I'm always making sure I'm logging, filling out my spreadsheet. I maintain my workout schedule. I always aim to get like 10K steps a day doing my reading. And like, I know just doing those things alone, I'm going to be like in a pretty elite level of fitness. and like it sounds too simple to be true but that's really just |
| 3:25.2 | the case you got to find what works for you what's manageable for you if you can only go a few times |
| 3:29.9 | like stick to that be consistent with it and you have to understand the compounding of the small |
