It's really cool to be like in the in the podcast, right? That's been in my ears for so long,

but now I'm talking to you face to face. We were introduced because you wrote into the

regular podcast and we'll talk about that a little bit later. But can you please tell folks what

you do for a living? So I'm a structural engineer and my work focused primarily on looking at damage buildings.

And specifically it'll be some like an insurance company that there's a building that's out of fire or vehicle impact, any kind of structural damage.

They'll phone me up and say, hey, can you go take a look at this?

Let us know what the structural damage is and how we can fix it.

And do you work directly for the insurance companies, or do they pay you on a per job basis?
