Family Annihilators are individuals who kill most or all of their immediate family members.

Statistically, we generally see the majority of these cases in the news being perpetrated by white males in their 30s.

But of course, kids can fall under this umbrella too.

The act of familicide is sometimes followed by the suicide of the perpetrator, but that's not true for any of our cases this time.

Though such cases often involve a history of domestic disturbance or anger issues, only one case today seems like it might.

And though there generally appeared to be a triggering incident leading up to these explosive tragedies, only one of our cases today

may have had one. The other cases leave us with only utter speculation and confusion.

Although we usually cover cases that have reached a conclusion, the shocking nature of these two separate killing sprees that took place within the past 10 days

compel me to go over what we know so far.

The final case took place in early September 2019

and is hauntingly similar. If the kids are tried as adults, I will update each case as it moves through the court system.

If it stays in family court of the juvenile system, we may not know what happens right away.

On this episode of Murderous Miners, we start with two very recent cases of Young Family

Annihilators, motive unknown.

The Haney family of Grantsville, Utah are described as a happy and outgoing family with strong ties to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Grantsville, located roughly 35 miles west of Salt Lake City, enjoys a small population under 12,000.

Colin 50 and Alejandra 53 head the family which includes five kids all born in bountiful Utah.
