Situations that seem like no big deal quickly have a way of spiraling into something much more ominous and menacing.

Kids and teens have a knack for finding themselves in such predicaments because they often

fail to look ahead toward consequences.

Or their innocence and general inexperience keep them from realizing that they could be in danger

until they're forced to make decisions they are ill-equipped to make.

In March of 2009, 16-year-old John Cadis of East Elmhurst, Queens, New York, found himself in such a situation. On this episode of murderous minors we hear from the

killer himself from an interview he did in 2015 with retired FBI agent Candice D. Long.

In real life, teenage John apparently

aspired to join the military and become a police officer

following his discharge. A typical dream career path. a

typical dream career path for many young boys.

But in his fantasy life he portrayed himself as a different darker character.

Online profiles at the time contained descriptions like hobbies, buying swords,

playing video games, fighting, and sex.

He posted under the user names John Psychadelic in Greek Satan.
