The Hello and welcome to mini episode number 524 of real life ghost stories.

And I have three spooky stories for you today and the last story comes from the 22nd of February 2026.

And story number one comes from Eno.

I'm 38 now, but some of these experiences started when I was a kid. I'll preface this by saying

I grew up in an abusive home, so the vibes weren't exactly immaculate. I don't know whether that

matters, but maybe it did.

When I was about 11, I had a sleepover with a group of girls. As pre-teens do, we decided to hold a

seance. We turned off the lights, lit a bunch of candles and sat in a loose circle on my bedroom

floor, half giggling, half trying to scare ourselves. One candle sat in the

centre of the circle and we focused on that one. I called out to anything that might want to talk to us.

If you're here, give us a sign. The candles were flickering gently anyway, so at first nothing

seemed out of the ordinary. We asked again.

If you're here, blow out the candle.

We waited.

Nothing obvious happened.

The girl started whispering and getting restless,

and I shushed them because, of course,

this was a very serious business to 11-year-olds.

I asked for a sign. One candle flickered harder

than the others. Everyone leaned in. If you're here, blow out the candle. More flickers.

One girl was clearly getting scared. The rest of us couldn't decide whether we were thrilled or terrified.
