I love to dive into topics that I find interesting

and to be unbeatable in the world. The show started nine

years ago, was originally the Unbeatable Mind podcast with Mark Devine. And so we talked to folks

from all over the world who are unbeatable in themselves doing really cool things and more and more

recently getting into more teaching and doing these solo

episodes or having conversations with my lovely stepdaughter, Catherine Devine. So today,

we're going to continue this series on the seven commitments to forge elite teams, which is from my book

Staring Down the Wolf, which came out out right on the eve of COVID in 2020.

At any rate, so the seven commitments are practices that leaders and teams must engage in

to really unlock the full potential of that team.

They're 20 times potential.

The seven commitments are, in this order, courage, trust, respect, growth,

excellence, resilience, and alignment. And I've done a solo episode on courage recently.

And so today we're going to delve into the idea of trust. We'll start out with a little

story. I was at SEAL Team 3, and my boss there was a guy

named Commander McCraven. Some of you might have heard of him. He went on to be Admiral McRaven

to lead all spec ops, and was the gentleman largely, not largely responsible, but led the mission,

I should say, to capture bin Laden, capture and kill bin Laden.
