Oh, gosh, Matt, this week on the show, we are reading the first two chapters of part three in this haze of green

and gold, aka Ves Kagan. It's a race against time as Roland, Jake, and Oye rushed to prevent the

death of Stephen King. They succeed, but at a terrible price. Another of Roland's companions falls.

Matt, what did you think about this week's cheery reading? Oh, it's just great, you son of a

bitch, because this is all your elaborate revenge for the worm podcast, huh? It was, it was.

Suck me in and drag me over the broken glass of loss and pain. And yeah, I mean, there's some

incredibly beautiful writing uh in this week

and uh obviously some very harrowing moments um a lot of interestingly funny moments too as i think

we'll talk about yeah sure sure um Yeah. What did you think?

I mean, the hardest part of recording last week's episode was having to pretend that I didn't know this was coming.

Right.

So, I mean, like, I, last week was certainly tragic in its own right, but like there

was very much a sense, at least that I got from you, that, okay, we've gone through

this tragedy. Now let's move on. And then it just hits you right again so soon, so soon. I mean,

sometimes I forget how soon after Eddie's death it is that Jake dies. And it's, I mean,

it's two chapters. That's it. And I didn't remember going into this book, but I looked a few weeks ago in preparation,

knowing we were coming to this.

And I was shocked to see that it was going to be the next week for us, just the way we space

things out.
