super tired from gaming all day. First things up is tomorrow our one-shot one-page

setting design contest closes up. If you want your entry counted please submit it

before 1159 on the 15th. The winner is going to have their setting featured on an

actual episode of one shot and Kat and I will record an episode of

critical success explaining why we chose the setting we picked. Heroes, we all love gaming conventions.

They're a super great way to discover new things,

meet people who share your hobby,

and of course play great games.

The problem is, there aren't enough of them and I know

there are hundreds of them around the country but there should be more. Luckily

right now a project on Kickstarter is working to make that a possibility.

Valercon is trying to create a new major gaming convention right here in Chicago.

As you can imagine, conventions take a lot of effort to get off the ground.

Most conventions survive by getting a lot of ad revenue and money from big vendors who come to the show.

Unfortunately, for their first year, that's not really an option for Valercon.
