And I guess we're going to, in our continuing series on the canals of New York City.

Because we can't get enough of them.

This wasn't even planned that way, but just it fell in the calendar this way.

The biography of DeWitt Clinton, one of the most influential New Yorkers,

and the thing that basically he helped create, helped come about because of him,

which was The Eerie Canal, and that really helped create New York City as a metropolis.

It transformed the local economy, it transformed really the young nation's economy.

And as for Clinton himself, he was an incredible human being.

He spent most of his life in the Pacific service, in public service.

And you could also call a lot of this nepotism and, you know, just constant campaigning.

Very ambitious.
