Okay, so today I'm going to talk all about editing. So there's a lot of different facets of magic.

And one of the things I like to do in my podcast is make people aware of some of the things

that we do and some of the, you know, the important parts of the game of putting it together

Like I talk about design all the time.

But there's many pieces that make a magic set come together. So today, I'm going to talk

all about the role of editing, because editing actually is a pretty important thing. Okay,

so first, we're going to start with a little history of editing, so you can learn a little

about Wizards at the Coast.

So there was a woman named Beverly Marshall Sailing, and she started coming to work for

wizards at a time where I think she was paid in stock options rather than actual money because

the company wasn't making any money at the time.

And so she's sort of, it was sort of like volunteering, but she was working for stock.

Now, as it turns out, ended up being she was paid quite well to do what she did because

those stock options turned into stock, which, you know, which was actually, it turned out

to great for Beverly.

But, so Beverly was the first person to come, and Beverly was the one who was the first editor

at the company.
