| 0:04.1 | She is entirely conceptual, or possibly a practical joke, it's never really resolved. |
| 0:10.3 | Wait, I thought she was Martha Johansen. |
| 0:13.8 | The disembodied brain? |
| 0:16.0 | Maybe sort of? |
| 0:18.8 | How so? |

| 0:23.3 | What? |
| 0:23.7 | I'm Jay Edited. |
| 0:37.3 | And I'm Miles Stokes. |
| 0:38.8 | And we are here to Explain the X-Men. |

| 0:43.7 | Welcome to episode 519 of Jay and Miles Explain the X-Men, |
| 0:47.5 | where we walk you through the ins, the outs, |

| 0:52.6 | And welcome to an episode that is a hell of a milestone in a couple of ways. |
| 0:57.5 | Yeah, we are, at long last, at Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men. |
| 1:02.3 | I have been excited to cover this for more than a decade. |

And listeners, many of you have gotten in touch with us over the years to talk about how excited you were, so we're going to try to do a good job. Also, as most of you all know by now, this is going to be the last run that we're covering on Jan Miles Explan the X-Men. And having recently read it, I can't think of a note I'd rather go out on. |
| 1:45.3 | I completely agree. |
| 1:46.7 | I mean, as much as I would have loved to have gotten to Krakowah and, you know, smaller things, like, say, the Mike Carey run or Sysburgers Legion stuff or whatever. |
| 1:54.0 | Like, if we're going through continuity, this is such a climax and highlight of the entire history of X-Men. |
