so it doesn't really answer the question as it stands within the Marvel universe.

But at least for purposes of tariffs in the actual United States, mutants are not human.

Now, if you're talking about genetics, it's probably best to let an actual expert weigh in,

homo superior are mutants human. Mutants are absolutely human.

Non-mutants and mutants can interbreed.

Mutants can be born from non-mudent parents.

I think mutants are just a natural part of human diversity.

Take that fictional taxonomy.

And you know, maybe if Magneto took thousands of mutants to some isolated colony somewhere and they didn't interbreed with humans for hundreds of thousands of years,

then maybe you could get into a situation where mutants are a Neanderthal-esque subspecies, but I don't think we're there yet, just because they can currently interbreed.
