The You know, Hello and welcome to mini episode number 505 of real life ghost stories.

I have two spooky stories for you today and the last story comes from the 12th of January

2026, and story number one comes from Kristen.

I've been debating on writing to you for a long time.

I decided to just sit down and do it.

I will say that this comes with a trigger warning of suicide, addiction and some emotional abuse.

When I was a baby, around one and a half years of age, my birth mother gave up her parental rights to my grandparents.

She was in the beginning of her addiction. My grandfather, Papa, convinced her to give me over to him and his wife.

I say his wife because she was not my mother's biological mom. She was her stepmother.

Growing up, I called her Nana. So I was raised by my grandparents. Both of them for a short

time and then just nana later on.

Everything was fine in my world until my grandparents decided to divorce.

He was an over-the-road truck driver, gone for a couple of weeks at a time and then home

again for short periods. They divorced when I was around eight or nine years old.

My nana decided to keep custody of me while my

Papa moved to New Mexico. Nana and I lived in Odessa, Texas. Once he was gone, life for me changed.

It was no longer a happy home for me. Nana was very emotionally abusive throughout my entire life.

Enough that I have been diagnosed with PTSD.

I'm in therapy now and I am not triggered as much anymore.

Therapy is amazing.

Pawpaw would call occasionally and make a visit to me once a year for the first few years of their divorce.
