this week, our film review is From the Dark. From the Dark was released in 2014. It has 4.9 out of 10 on IMDB and 34% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Mark and Sarah, a young couple, gets stranded while holidaying in the Irish countryside.

They seek shelter and stumble across a sinister creature that stays away from the light and hunts them.

You know what?

This film does not deserve the chronically low rating that it has.

Okay?

Is it incredible?

No.

But is it also a 34% film?

No.

It's definitely at least 50%.

This film was set in County Offley, which is next to my home county of Leach, and I was very

pleased when it started and it was telling you that it was set in County Offley and it's set

deep in bogland and we open with a farmer who is cutting turf during the summer on the bog and he comes across a body.

And I thought it was a great set up for a film. The scenery was beautiful and I thought that the

story itself was great, like what happens when you accidentally unearthed something ancient

and incredibly dangerous. Like I said, I did think the ratings for this film were kind of

unfairly low. So I was having a look at some of the reviews. And let me tell you, the, I don't know

if it's an attention span thing or if people just don't get or want any sort of subtlety in film.
