The Hello and welcome to mini episode number 511 of real life ghost stories

and I have three spooky stories for you today

and our last story comes from the 30th of December 2025

and story number one comes from Lois.

When I was in high school, my grandmother, who lived on the same property as my mom and dad,

started to show signs of severe dementia. She had never been a particularly good person,

very mean and argumentative. She started to lock herself in her bedroom at night,

despite her bathroom being inches from her bedroom door.

She told my father that there was a bum who walked the halls at night and she didn't like him.

My parents decided that she needed to be placed in a nursing home,

and that is where she passed away.

My husband and I were just getting married, so we moved into her house. As we remodel the upstairs, we slept on the

living room floor, where the only air conditioner reached. One night we started to go to bed and we

could hear distant voices, men and women. And the sounds were like

party chatter, but from a distance, so you could not understand what they were saying.

I thought I left a TV on upstairs and went up to check all the rooms. I could not find the

source of the sound, but my husband said it stopped as soon as I went upstairs.

Odd things happened here and there, but the energy never felt threatening or scary and there

always seemed to be a way to explain it away. We had a child and her room was next to the upstairs

bathroom. If she woke in the night, I would step into the bathroom and turn on the light.
