Summary

The effects of a controlling parent.

Control can be at the very heart of a traumatic childhood. Parents with unhealthy and unattainable standards, unreasonable rules and regulations. Parents using punishments and controlling behaviour. Micah grew up in a very controlled, religious environment. Church was three times a week. Discipline was militant in style and there were so many rules and beliefs that Micah had begun obsessively washing her hands by age 5. She also became very controlled with food, absorbing the messages she was being given about what sort of a person you were if you ate too much. Such a difficult start for a little girl. Micah Stover is now a psychedelic guide and trauma midwife, working with the power of psychedelics to help others in trauma to go back and rescue that younger self and bring her home.
