In this episode, discover how to go for mindful adventures and why it can be fun, inspiring and meaningful to shake up our routines. 

Adventures don't always need to be expensive or grand! Find out a few different types of adventures, which you can do easily and without spending much money. 

Tips for going on mindful adventures:

- Make conscious decisions to go on mindful adventures

- Identify worried or hurtful thoughts about going on adventures and either take action or let those thoughts go

- Be curious: soak up as much as you can from your new experience

- Be conscious about allowing yourself to have different experiences (try not to make decisions on autopilot and go outside your comfort zone)

Your mindful mission: Go on adventure or plan one and schedule it into your diary!

Hello and welcome to episode 51 of the Mindful Kyan podcast. In this episode, I'm going to be talking about

adventures and mindfulness because I really do believe we can use mindfulness in a way which

helps us bring more fun and joy into our lives. So I'm guessing that quite a lot of us have a pretty regular routine. We wake up at a certain

time to go to work or school, we travel, we move through our day, we come home and have dinner and

maybe read or watch TV or get ready for the next day and we go to bed. Routines like this aren't bad. Routines like

this are actually super helpful in supporting us to get through our days smoothly. We generally

know what to expect. We know how long things take we can prepare and it reduces decisions,

giving us more brain space to deal with other things.

However, being in one routine for a long time can be a little bit unsatisfying.

It might make you feel like you're acting on autopilot or just going through the motions, it might not be very inspiring

or encourage you to go outside your comfort zone and grow. Even though it might be comfortable,

it is important to consciously choose to experience new things and shake up that routine

now and then. And I found a wonderful way to do that

and it's all about going on adventures. And another awesome thing about adventures is they give us

a wealth of opportunities to practice mindfulness. So first of all, let's talk about adventures.
