Well, within the American Church, there's a lot of active debating around what it means to be a man or woman, but not many people have taken the time to explore the call to biblical manhood and what

that should really look like.

That's why I'm looking forward to sharing my conversation with you today with author and

pastor Chase Rapagel.

Chase is the author of the book, The Five Masculent Instincts, where he explores some of the

behavior and motivations of male Bible figures like Samson, Moses,

Kane, and he provides some insights on the internal lessons that we can learn from them.

I think this is an insightful conversation looks at manhood from a different perspective

than many of us are used to, particularly in today's day and age.

my conversation with Chase Rapagel. But Chase, I'm really looking forward to having this

conversation. Not only I'm married to a man, but I'm also the mom of three young adult boys.

So you immediately have my attention when you talk about even what is healthy masculinity

and what does it look like to mature as a man. So thank you for doing this work. I feel like

a lot of people are sort of without a compass when it comes to this. Yeah, well, I'm really grateful

for the conversation. And particularly, you know, I've had a lot of women read the book from your position as moms or spouses. And I really have as I wrote the book obviously for men, but I think this challenge men are facing, we all bear responsibility and we all play a role. And so I do think it's important cultural conversation beyond just men. So I'm really grateful for you taking the time with the book and also for this conversation.

Well, how did, I guess, the background and history of the conversation around toxic masculinity

and most recently, like the Barbie movie and just all this about what is healthy masculinity,

how did that play into your desire

to create a book that actually gives us a better roadmap?
