Summary

Celebrating the 500th episode of The Astrology Podcast, and reflecting on how the podcast got started and what I learned from doing the past 100 episodes! In the first part of this episode I talk a bit about how the podcast got started, I look at the founding charts for the podcast, and discuss the outline of what I said that I wanted to accomplish with the show in the very first episode back in 2012. I reflect on how ambitious my original outline for the podcast was, and that I've actually ended up accomplishing quite a bit of what I originally set out to do at this point. Later in the episode I reflect on some of the things I've learned in the process of doing the past 100 episodes in particular, especially over the past couple of years, mainly from a technical standpoint. 0:04.0	This is it. This is the 500th episode of the Astrology Podcast.
0:10.0	So I wanted to get on today to do a little recording. This is going to be kind of casual, just sort of looking back and reflecting.
0:18.0	One of the things I want to do is talk about the first episode of the
0:21.5	astrology podcast and the ambitious outline that I had for it and just how much of that
0:28.8	ambitious outline have actually been able to accomplish in the past 500 episodes. Then I also
0:34.6	wanted to review a little bit some of the things that I've learned over the course of the past 100 episodes, especially from a technical standpoint.
0:43.3	But otherwise, this is just going to be a lot of casual, not very well prepared reflecting and thinking about the fact that I did 500 episodes, the podcast, and I wanted to mark the occasion.
0:58.3	All right. So let me give the data. So today is Saturday, July 27th, 2025, or sorry, July 26th, 2025.
1:07.7	Starting, it looks like I started at 1245 p.m. here in Denver, Colorado with Libre Rising.
1:14.6	And yeah, 500 episodes. So the year it's mid 2025 and I started the podcast way back in June, late June of 2012.
1:31.9	So that was a lot of years ago at this point.
1:35.3	And yeah, so let's reflect a little bit on the history of it and how I got here and how it started.
1:42.7	So I went back today and I actually listened to the very first episode of the
1:49.3	Astrology podcast, which is only available on the astrology podcast website at the
1:53.5	astrologypodcast.com.
1:55.8	And actually there's a whole catalog of like two or 300 episodes that are only available
2:04.6	in audio versions on the podcast website.
2:08.4	So a lot of people don't know that, especially people that have only, you know, started
2:12.2	following the podcast since, let's say, 2017 is when I really started doing video versions of the podcast.
2:19.9	There was already a whole catalog of at least 100, really, in some instances, really important episodes
2:25.3	that I only did audio versions of because video podcasting hadn't fully taken off yet.
