Summary

In this episode I mark 500 conversations by pulling back the curtain on the most important lessons I’ve learned about integrity, humility, codependency, leadership, and evolving out loud. I share how studying the masters taught me to become one in my own life, how people pleasing quietly leaked into my business and lowered my standards, and why restoring integrity—again and again—is the foundation of peace, power, and exceptional relationships. Hello and welcome to another episode of the Mark Groves podcast. Today is a big deal.

0:04.9

Man, it's a solo episode day, but I'm doing episode number 500, which is wild to think that I've done 500 of these.

0:12.8

And so I want to make this one extra special.

0:15.9

And I'm going to talk about some of the most important things that I've learned, you know, in 500 of these, but also

0:22.9

just through my experience of creating online and sharing and teaching and living my transformation

0:29.5

very much out loud. I often think that my son is going to be able to listen to this podcast

0:34.6

and hear the evolution of his father and his mother because,

0:38.5

you know, she's in quite a bit of it. And just hear both the humanity and me and the struggle

0:44.6

and the desire to always restore integrity and to live what I say. And I think in a time

0:53.9

where there are so many people we hold on pedestals,

0:58.8

you know that saying to kill your gurus, I think that's a great idea. Because we live in a time

1:04.9

where we're so let down by people in positions of power who present themselves as being one way and then acting another.

1:13.5

And I think that is such a great rudder or fulcrum or reference point for our own integrity,

1:19.4

that if we are going to teach something, we should be that.

1:22.6

Because I think otherwise it's just consuming.

1:25.4

Like if you know that an expose could be written on you or someone

1:28.4

could tell the truth about who you really are, he won't sleep well. I mean, no amount of green juice

1:34.8

will restore a lack of integrity. And so for me, that's been an ongoing lesson that my body is at

1:42.6

peace when I am in alignment. And when I'm not, can I honor that I'm not

1:49.0

and move towards it? Because of course, you're not always going to be in alignment. And of course,

1:52.6

you're going to make bad decisions. And of course, you might do things that you're incredibly

1:56.9

ashamed of. But can you go through the process of restoring? Because the information, the shame,
