0:57.0 | So can you start by just telling us in most basic form, what is Title IX? |
1:03.0 | Yeah, sure. So I've been doing a lot of Title IX explaining in this 50th anniversary year, and I like to break it down for folks. Basically, it is a 37-word statute |
1:14.4 | passed in 1972, 50 years ago, bipartisan effort, recognizing that there was a lot of gender |
1:22.5 | inequity in federally funded education. And we needed a provision to deal with that. So it's a, it's a federal law that applies to any federally funded education, and we needed a provision to deal with that. |

1:33.5 | from preschool to elementary, middle, high school, college, and university, academics, and athletics, |
1:40.3 | anything under that educational rubric, and it says you can't be gender discriminatory in your |
