through the intersection. Immediately, my parental hackles are up. I grip the apple in my hand

I can hurl a series of expletives at the car in front of a number of children and parents.

You, mofo, how dare you endanger my child? I'm going to slash your

tiles and the tires of your progeny. Even more severe, I could wind up and throw a fastball with my

Granny Smith and surely splatter apple guts all over the back window of this SUV. I was a pitcher in high

school and I still got it. Or I could take a breath. I could kneel down and hug my little one and tell her to always be super careful
