Well, hello there. My name is Morgan Harper-Nichols. I'm an artist and a writer, and this is a space where I share words that I hope can make a little room for you to slow down and take a few deep breaths as you prepare for whatever lies ahead. Thanks for being here today. And now on to today's episode. One of the greatest things that keeps us from

0:28.2

experiencing peace in the present moment is when our hope is suffering. We may not even feel like

0:34.5

we've lost hope completely, but the uncertainty that lies before us is often

0:39.5

enough to put a damper on our hope, that we feel like we might, in fact, lose hope forever.

0:45.7

But perhaps, even though it feels that way, there are still little ways that we can be reminded

0:51.3

of the hope that is growing around and within us. So here's to looking

0:56.4

1:26.3

those episodes that you bookmark and come back

1:28.8

to and listen for some new ideas whenever you're looking for a little bit of hope. Or maybe

1:34.4

you can share it with a friend who might be looking for hope to. So here goes, 50 little ways to

1:40.6

find hope right now. Number one, the sound of children's laughter. Number two, the taste of a

1:50.1

delicious meal that you know is going to refill you. Number three, when someone makes time to talk

1:57.5

with you when they could be doing anything else. Number four, when someone checks up on you.

2:04.6

Number five, when you feel compelled to check on someone else.

2:08.6

Number six, the sound of a new song that speaks to an old feeling you've been trying to find the language for.

2:16.6

Number seven, a sunbeam that is able to find you through a cloud.

2:21.5

Number eight, the smell of clean laundry, a small thing to help you start a fresh day.

2:28.3

Number nine, the smell of rain before it starts to fall.

2:32.5

A small promise that the soil and all of its flowers are
